The dedication of a person’s life to the way of Christ is something we celebrate with enthusiasm. In the sacrament of Holy Baptism, vows are made and we are marked as Christ’s own forever. Through the water of baptism, we become part of a new creation. Infants, children, youth, and adults are invited to be baptized. Please contact the parish office for details.
For those baptized early in life, the confirmation is a chance to make a public commitment to following Jesus. At confirmation, the vows made on our behalf become our own promises of faith. Confirmation is available every few years when Bishop John Chapman visits Christ Church. The next opportunity to confirmed in the church will be Sunday May 26, 2017.
A couple’s wedding is an expression of their love and commitment to each other. Our faith community is pleased to give voice to God’s blessing as couples begin a new life together. Couples seeking marriage at Christ Church Seaway, or off-site with Rev. Patrick officiating may contact him directly.
The death of a loved one can be a difficult and emotional time for friends and family. Christ Church Seaway offers pastoral care to those who may be close to the end of their life, as well as support those suffering loss.
Funeral services may take place at the church or elsewhere. Arrangements are made as needed in consultation with Rev. Patrick. It is never too early or too late to begin this conversation.
