It is often said that the congregation of Christ Church loves to eat. While most people like to eat, we make a point of eating together! At Christ Church Seaway there are many opportunities to share table hospitality together.
Sunday Coffee Hour
After the 10:00 am Sunday service, a time of fellowship and refreshment is available for catching up, getting to know each other, and sharing a snack with friends.
On Wednesdays a small group gathers for a simple noontime meal. Volunteers sign up to share the work of preparing and serving the soup, bread, and sweets. This meal carries an open invitation for anyone to drop by. Come early for Holy Eucharist at 10:30 am, Bible Study at 11:15 am, or drop in just for lunch. Some people even stay after the meal for Prayers and Squares! The Wednesday lunch takes place from September to June with a short break at Christmas.
Community meals are often hosted by Christ Church Seaway. These can be everything from potluck style get-togethers, formal catered events, BBQ meals, the annual fish fry, or our famous Shrove Tuesday pancake supper. Watch the Latest News and Parish Calendar for upcoming events.
Food Relief for Households in Crisis
Sometimes life takes a sudden turn and we can find ourselves unable to put food on the table. The parish priest is sometimes able to help with temporary food relief for households in crisis. Contact Rev. Patrick through the church office for details.
