Do you love the spicy flavour of chili? Or are you a master of the tex-mex kitchen yourself? Then come and join us for our chili cook-off, taking place on Sunday, January 9 @11:30 am (following the 10 am Church service). We’re asking folks to provide a pot of their best chili for everyone to enjoy. Anyone can provide a pot of chili, but you don’t need to bring chili for you to enjoy what’s on offer.
For the cost of a donation to our building fund, everyone attending gets a bowl of chili, and gets to vote on which chili is the best. The winning chili cook will be the one with the most votes, and will get their picture up on our website! Local fame awaits!
Please come out and join us. Bring a friend!
If you’d like to contribute your chili, please let us know by calling the church or speaking to Fr. Stephen.

Fr. Stephen was asked to lead a prayer of invocation at the inaugural meeting of Cornwall City Council on December 1, 2010. This is a prayer at the opening of a meeting, asking for God’s blessing on the proceedings.
It’s so great that the city’s officials ask for God’s blessing at a time when so many public figures are scared even to mention Christmas! Please remember to pray for our government officials, and to thank City Council for inviting the religious community to have a part in the public life of the city.
This weekend’s edition of the Seaway News features an article by our very own Bonita Eley. It gives a nice introduction to the history of Christ Church and what we are offering today.
Below is a pdf version of the article. Enjoy!
History lives at Christ Church
