1st Sunday of Advent – Hope

Come to church tomorrow to celebrate the first Sunday of Advent.  We will be lighting the first purple candle which is the candle of “hope”.

The #Adventword photo challenge and the Facebook Advent Bible Study will also be starting tomorrow.

Remembrance Sunday & Jane Scanlon visits

Come to church tomorrow for Remembrance Sunday.   Fr. Patrick’s sermon will be about Remembrance and Loyalty.

It’s also Noisy Offering, so remember your coins as the kids will be collecting coins for the Madagascar School Project.

After the 10am Service, Jane Scanlon will be leading the parish in a conversation about stewardship.  Please stay if you are interested.

Turn back clocks – Don’t miss church tomorrow!

Don’t forget to turn your clocks back 1 hour tonight!

Come and hear Fr. Patrick speak about All Saint’s Day .  He will also give a report on the Diocesan Synod.

Following the 10am service we will be having a short Memorial Prayer service to remember those who have passed away.

5)  Food Box Sunday – bring a food item to be donated to Agape.  We will bless the food before communion.

6)  It’s Social Media Sunday!    Bring your cell phones, ipods or tablets!  (Nicole will be at Church early for anyone     who needs help setting their devices.  We will also provide instructions on how you can participate!)

Thanksgiving Service Tomorrow!

Happy Thanksgiving!  We hope you will join us for our Thanksgiving service tomorrow morning as Fr. Patrick will be preaching about “Giving Thanks” .

Bring your coins, it’s ‘Noisy Offering’ and the kids will be collecting coins for the Madagascar School Project.

Bring your voices, it’s Praise Band day, and we encourage you to sing along.

After the service we welcome everyone to join us for some food, tea/coffee and fellowship.

Animal Blessing Service

saint-francis-of-assisi-2Bring your pets, livestock, service animals, or stuffed toys to be blessed at the church during a special liturgy commemorating the life of St. Francis of Assisi. Francis was an important leader, preacher, humanitarian and lover of animals. This brief, casual service will be held on the lawn Sunday October 4th at 4pm. All welcome!

Outdoor Service Tomorrow

Reminder: tomorrow is our last outdoor service of the summer!

Come and hear Fr Patrick link the Bible with current affairs.  In Mark 7, a Syrian parent asks Jesus to save her child.  Jesus’ answer is surprising, but what happens next is pure grace!

There is a youth class as well, with Julia helping the youth discover their gifts and talents.


Tomorrow: Jesus’ thoughts about Ritualism

Come to church tomorrow and hear Fr. Patrick preach about why Jesus gets so upset about ritualism.
